Hey Youse Guises. I am doing a craft fair this Saturday and for a change, I actually remembered to blog about it ahead of time.

Hello, my dear, quivering meatbags, I hope everyone is enjoying summer.
I have been working with some really exceptional people on a goofy summer job, where chuckles are to be had daily. The latter of these fine fun ladies I have linked has introduced me (along with a glowing review from these nerds) to the sparkly-cuteness of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, which is the last show I would ever expect to like, what with growing up fairly indifferent to all things equine and frilly... But the beaming cuteness of this show was (not unlike a Care Bear Stare) enough to overcome even godly powers of grumpiness, and in the end I gave in and now have one more thing (besides childishness) in common with my very young nieces. Yay?
Other than just boring work stuff, I've made some new things like colourful felted jewellery (no pictures yet, I'm afraid) and had a chance to get out with good friends and set up shop here and there around the Toronto area. I'm still trying to build my inventory and really forge my brand and admittedly, have a long way to go, but it feels inspiring to get out and see how people respond to my first tentative steps toward becoming a semi-professional artist.
To be honest though, I'm not really interested in doing the Etsy thing so much as attempting narrative pieces and installations. I think it would be really amazing to create something that encourages people to sort of delve into the realm of intuitive thinking and subjective interpretation. When it comes down to it, I guess I'd rather confuse people than make them smile with adorable handmade goods. Besides, many people do it much better than I ever could.
In this vein, I've been thinking a lot about what to put on my business cards. Here is what I've decided on. What do you think?
