A Nineteenth Century Prison Repurposed

A view of the rotunda.

Many of the tiny cells, which held up to seven or eight prisoners at a time, have been bricked up.

A rare view of unpainted brickwork.

Two cells have been left as they were (minus the locks) for posterity.

A view of the attic.  The stairs were too unstable to climb.
